  • Why would anyone paddle out to sea where there are predators bigger then the boat being paddled? Even more, why would anyone do it again after being attacked by one of those predators? Thanks but no thanks. When I go fishing on the deep blue, it's in a boat 30 feet long with 2 engines. At least.

  • Considering how expensive drones are (I'd imagine) I don't know if that would work. Most drones are being used for the war I believe. But, a very good idea on your part.

  • I do believe some ships have had hired gunhands on board but it's really expensive. But I agree with you. That would take care of the problem.

  • Not that I know much about this but maybe we should throw a enormous amount of resources at this problem. Have alot of soldiers/ships/planes go and wipe out any sign of pirates. Really patrol the coastlines and make it known if your a pirate and your seen, you die.

  • The parent co. said he wasn't informed. That may be or may not be the truth. We don't know so... Also, it's the LAW to help stranded boaters. I believe it's called maritime law or something like that.

  • Thank you for clearing that up and I agree, however, there is still the burden of proof. I somehow doubt the persons who saw the strandee's will come and testify. I could be wrong though. I guess time will tell, thanks again for responding.

  • Makes me wonder, how are they going to prove in court that the stranded boaters in question were actually seen by anyone on the cruise ship? It may be fact they did. But knowing and proving are two totally different things.

  • Was the garage door actually stuck? If it was then she did what needed doing, particularly since the children were still there. She tried to get away and couldn't, IF the door was actually stuck. Need better reporting of the facts.
